Purpose: Develop a logo and brand for Gear Garage, a platform that connects people in the Cleveland area in buying and selling used menswear and accessories in an economical, sustainable, and unique capacity.
The target audience is men in the Millennial and Gen-Z demographic participating or interested in the reselling market. The industrial inspired logo harkens to the city’s past and also reflects both traditional masculinity and contemporary values. The circular shape and movement associated with the interlocking gears communicates connectivity and represents recycling, tying in the concept of sustainability. The use of texture throughout the brand provides a unique and authentic look and feel. When paired with the darker, subdued tones of the color palette, it depicts the brand as approachable and resonates with the target audience’s economically savvy outlook.
